Work had been nonstop crazy, so I haven’t really had time to post. And today three of my coworkers are gone (along with my boss!) and it’s a gorgeous day for playing hooky. So naturally I’ve been insanely productive.
I have also begun rehearsal/performance hell as the gay pride chorus concert is coming next week and outdoor band concerts are starting.
This was yesterday:
Don’t let the pretty picture fool you. The sun had just come out about 30 minutes prior, and it was in the upper 50’s with 20 mph winds. I think about 8 folks were in the audience.
It was not a good concert.
Imagine trying to play multi-page West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof medleys trying to do fast page turns in the wind.
Next week work promises more crazy and I have rehearsals Wednesday and Thursday, concerts Friday and Saturday. I may even have to fly to Chicago on Tuesday to support an audit– but my boss hasn’t told me yet (as usual). I mean, why would he give me any more than 1 day of notice??
I should be sufficiently stabby by the end.
Oh, and in brighter news, the beard is coming back and I no longer look like a hideous gremlin. Ugly bare face be gone!
Gosh, I was just thinking about you today, thinking I hadn’t seen a post in awhile.
Like the short beard.
Love that you are singing Fiddler tunes. I’m going to Goodspeed to see the musical this summer. Practically know all the songs by heart.
