Ok, for a little while now I’ve been growing out my goatee.
Why?
I have no idea. Actually, I take that back. I DO know why. When I was in Alaska, there were all these rugged men with nice, thick goatees. One guy’s goatee (in a seat in front of me on the plane) was particularly striking. It was full, but the hair all laid pretty flat and it was tidy. It also helped that the guy attached to it was SMOKIN’ HAWT!
And I found myself wondering what it would be like to have a goatee like theirs.
So, ever since Alaska I haven’t cut my goatee at all– other than the occasional lip trim to keep myself from eating the hair. This is the result so far:
As you can see, my goatee doesn’t want to behave; it’s kinda scraggly. I am using hair product in it to try to manage it… and I do comb it when I can.
And GREY! Gosh, it’s so bloody grey!
Part of me thinks I’m still too young to be a “daddy” or a “silver fox”. But part of me also likes being “facially experimental”. I will say that the hair is now long enough that when I swim the water makes it move- and that is a freaky feeling.
Anyway, I want your thoughts on this thing. Keep it? Shave it? Trim it very short? Color it??? Rub it on your taint??

As you know I’ve very pro facial hair anyway, but I think it looks really good. I don’t think I would describe it as scraggly either. Oh, and for what it’s worth. Don’t dye it. Please. Those home dye kits always make it look like you’ve been dying your hair. Think of all those guys with the oh so natural looking hair with the really brassy high lights.
Looks good. I vote you keep it.
with that gray, you NEED to make it a full beard. go daddy

I actually think you suit that really well. Now and again I grow mine out and I always think it looks too messy and Eiain then says no, it looks great, keep it. And I like that salt on pepper look 😉 Your never too young to be a Daddie lol 😉 Honestly stay with it for a while, I felt a movement in my jock when I seen the pic of you. *slurp* You can be my Daddie anytime 🙂
Whatever you do DO NOT DYE IT, do you hear me?. It looks GREAT gray. I’m going to go against the grain and say trim it just a tad. But that’s just a personal preference. I like short and tight goatees. Now, concerning where to put it… I do have a suggestion… 🙂 Oh – and for God’s sake SMILE!!! You have such a pretty smile — show it off!
As I told you yesterday, even The Advocate did a whole cover story on the “silver fox” look and how popular it is. Hell, even Colton Ford did the silver fox thing… roowr!
I think you look good both with and without it. (Granted, I do have a thing for me with facial hair though…)
Facial hair is definitely a matter of personal preference on how, and if, to wear it. Gawd only knows mine gets changed all the time…

If you must, but I like a slightly longer than office etiquette length. Makes you stand out like a rock star.
Color it???
If you do I will lose faith in humanity. NO! Daddy hawt grey differentiates you from slacker kid scruffy.

I am a big fan of facial hair. I tend to prefer the shorter/trimmed goatee because it looks neater. The longer goatee you’re after is nice too, but sometimes tends to look scraggly or unkempt. (Yours doesn’t.) Definitely do NOT dye it!!! The salt-n-pepper look is VERY sexy. Plus, dyed facial hair never looks natural.
I say keep it, don’t dye it, and trim it.

the length doesn’t look bad on you. i say grow it out more and see what happens. you can always trim it then. that’s what is so great about facial hair…you don’t like where it’s going…you shave it off!
i try to grow mine out but it ends up itching like hell because my skin underneath it gets really dry.

Keep it! Trim the scraggly strays, but keep most of the length. Besides, I’m sure it feels good, during…er..um…you know….
I like it like that… when my beard/goatee gets too long it bugs the hell out of me… but that is me… the long look really suits you… I don’t see you with a full beard though…
I recommend keeping it, trim it up. Looks good on you.

Hmmmm, hard to say, I do quite like it the way it is, however I don’t mind the look of it short either, it’s hardly what I’d call bushy, you should see what happens when I grow mine out, there are bits that grow up and down and sideways and outwards, it’s a mess. I wish I had facial hair like yours! I wouldn’t go so far as to dye it, but you could probably run a bit of mascara through it if you wanted to do a trial run first. You can borrow mine if you like!
Now, I don’t know about rubbing it on my taint, I think I left my taint at home today anyway, but I reckon it’d go great getting slapped by my balls and… oh dear I’ve said too much haven’t I? Right I think I need a little alone time, if that’s not a ringing endorsement for how it looks I don’t know what is!

ok. i’m alone on this. i don’t like it. you’re very handsome – you don’t need it. it takes up too much of your face and takes away from your handsome-ness. all i see is hair.
