The Iceman Cometh

Our weather has been really shitty since about November. Granted we had a nice, long, gentle autumn last year and I was able to get out in my bike like in mid November, so that was pretty decent. But once we got to about thanksgiving….

Shit. Utter crap. Cold December. Snowy. Colder January. February had arctic blast after arctic blast. I think we lived in the single digits for most of the month. March was cold. And April?

April full on sucked this year. We had one nice day, and then spent the rest of the month 15 degrees below average. Lost of temps in the 50’s when it’s supposed to be in the low 60’s.

And May hasn’t been much better. Some warmer weather, and one bizarro 90° day, but then cool and wet. And stormy! We’ve had more hail this year than I can remember. And super high wind storms.

Last weekend, it was in the 50’s on Saturday when I went to the farmers market. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be maaaaybe 50 and rainy.

We are nearly to Memorial Day and still having March/early April weather. This fucking sucks.

Naturally it’s due global warming and climate change. We’re seeing colder winters, fucked up jet streams, and stronger storms. And it’s just going to get worse, while we sit here like frogs in a pot of water on the stove.

Anyway- the weather is really putting a crimp in my biking, which is bumming me out.
