I started my new job yesterday. So far so good.
It’s already been a more pleasant experience than the last job. Everyone here is down to earth and practical. Regular joe manufacturing- not high-falutin’ semiconductor shit. We still make a pretty precise product for critical applications, but it’s much more practical.
The people have been great- so has communication. It feels like a good crew. People are friendly. They laugh at my humor. And the business/Quality systems are all approachable and make sense.
So I’m optimistic that this will be an ok environment. But time will tell.
At least the new boss and plant manager took me out for taco Tuesday at lunch yesterday! That’s a start.
