It felt close sometimes though.
I am home after five days with mom and a home remodel. And sleeping in the same hotel king size bed. 😳
Getting her around the hotel and out and about was tricky. Lots of wheelchair action and slow walker activity. And helping in and out of cars. We got her hair done and her flu shot accomplished, so that was good.
We also went to the Pappajohn Sculpture Park. It was very nice and the day was perfect. Mom loved being out and about.

The flooring install actually went very well. No major hiccups. They shorted us a couple pieces of threshold- which are now on order. But they are just to finish two small closets. The rest is done and her place it back together.
It was a lot of work to tear apart, floor, reassemble, position furniture, hook up electronics, place tchotchkes, cull her books, and clean. But it’s done.

I hope getting rid of the carpet will help her get around more easily. I hope she likes it. I hope it doesn’t complicate things for her.
I’m pooped. So I’m taking tomorrow off (it’s gonna be 80° here).
I don’t know if you ever hear this from other people (and even if you do, I bet you don’t hear it often enough): You’re a good son.
P.S. Flooring looks great.
