So, we come to the end of another year. And I gotta say- this wasn’t a great year for me. Pretty abysmal really. So I’m glad to be well shot of it.
As I was preparing my 2020 New Years resolutions and reviewing 2019’s accomplishments, I began to realize just how much happened over the past year. It was quite a full year. A year of changes. A year of milestones. A year of passings.
My father passed away. I turned 50. My mother’s Parkinson’s worsened a titch. I settled fathers estate and sold his house. I payed off my mother’s and my mortgages. I sang in the chorus. I played in the concert band. I hated my job more and more every day. I grew closer with Luna kitty. I went to Key West for my birthday. I enjoyed book club. I made friends. I hosted parties. I got a personal trainer, lost weight and got in better shape. And I got my finances in order.
Busy year. Not very happy, but not altogether dark either.
I know 2020 will bring with it more challenges, I already see things getting more complicated with mom and her health. And I simply must get a new job. But I’m also hopeful that 2020 will be a year of growth and good changes.
Here’s wishing us all the very best in the year to come. After all, we deserve it, don’t we?
Well in my case I am leaving my current job in 2020. For a new job that pays much more and is closer to the home QTH (That latter is ham speak for home location.) Same wishes back to you. I hope 2020 is much better than the last three years.
