This summer I have been blissfully inactive. Well… not totally inactive, just not over scheduled. It’s been rather relaxing, albeit boring. And kind of lonesome.
But all that has come to an end.
Last weekend I went to the bar a few times and was invited out on a boat for a day of cruising on the St Croix.
And this weekend? Well, I am invited to a game night on Saturday evening. And then on Sunday? Volleyball league starts and so does chamber singers.
Yes- I have joined a C league volleyball team for fun. And chamber singers resumes to prepare a piece or two for our upcoming Christmas concert.
I’m most nervous about volleyball. I only know two of the team members and I haven’t played in 5 years. I’m a bit rusty. And old. And fat. And I don’t know which offense they are going to run and which position I might play.
Yikes!
But I AM looking forward to meeting new people and getting out of my “single and solitary” rut.
Expect a post on Monday detailing how everything goes. Unless I break a hip.
Me, did grocery shopping today, tomorrow is TedX Providence, and Walk for Justice on Sunday.
You’re my hero. I commend you on your ability to step out on the ledge. My gypsy ways tell me that the volleyball route will lead you to what you are seeking.
All the best!

I think your position is a no brainer – bottom. ❤️
the offense? I believe it’s getting the ball over the net. boom! done!
Good for you for staying active and meeting new people.
