Transmission?  Who needs that?

Hey– check out my new ride!

It’s a temporary ride– until the dealership figures out why my transmission died in my Paceman this past weekend.

I’m not really complaining tho.  It’s a brand new Clubman Sport AWD package. It rides nice. So smooth and quiet compared to my souped up Paceman.

Now, as to my transmission?  It honestly failed in the most perfect way possible. I was leaving a parking lot and suddenly it was like the car shifted into neutral– only it was still in drive.

I was able to get the transmission to re-engage at low rpms and was able to get it into a parking lot. And from there, I formulated a plan to get it to the dealership which was only one mile away!

I was able to limp the car there at very low speeds and take a back road.  I arrived at the dealership at 4:30 (service closes at 4 on Saturdays), but by some miracle they were still there.

They let me in, got me checked in, and set me up with the Clubman until my car can be fixed.

Awesome service. Great luck. Everything just fell into place.  What could have been a very stressful shit scenario turned into a really decent experience.

I’m not sure how I ecrued so many karma points, but boy am I thankful!

Likely a clutch pack or sensor went.
