This weekend was the Aquatennial celebration here in Minneapolis. Don’t ask me what it is or why– it’s just a summer celebration. And it culminates in a huge firework display that is fired off from the Central Ave bridge over the river.
It’s sponsored by Target, set to music, and is rated as one of the top 5 firework displays in the country.
There was even a Prince tribute (Purple Rain) where the fireworks were purple:
