R U Generou$?

The latest trend here in the Minne Apple is for young guys to get on all the “social apps” and (how do I put this delicately) “put on the red light”.

Or to be less delicate and more direct, they’re prostitutes and use the app as their pimp.

Mostly, it’s young, black guys here– but not exclusively. And sometimes they straight up want to charge and sometimes they “just want gas money”.

Regardless, it’s goddamn annoying.

Case in point, I happened to log into Grindr the other day and I was almost immediately solicited by a faceless profile.  The exchange appears below:

See what I mean?  In the immortal words of JarJar Binks “How rude!”

Dude, I don’t care if your nickname is “Donkey Dong”– I’m not gonna pay you for sex.

    It’s not just Minne Apple, it’s everywhere….

It’s a natural progression and no, not just Minneapolis . Many of the old cruise spots I remember are overrun by hustlers. Looking for generou$ is a common theme in the comics, i.e., Craigslist personals. No big surprise it’s spilled over into social apps. It will carry into whatever comes next as well.

I think Jar Jar said: “Howsa rude”. That seems more his style.

Well I’m glad to hear that you still have your principles!
