Well, I finally broke down and got a Costco membership.

There is one only a few miles from me, and I can use it to get some goods (paper products, culturelle and vitamins, Brita filters, etc). Plus gas.

They do have decent deals on gas.

The parking lot is cray cray- as it is adjacent to a homo depot and pet smart and other crap. But it isn’t too stab-inducing.

Plus, anyone who files the bible under “fiction” is alright in my book.

I was a long time Costco mbr; loved it while it was close. Gas is a great deal. Now that you’re a mbr, you should start getting coupon books in the mail; great discounts there for even one or two things you might like to normally buy. It can really pay to go down all the aisles just to familiarize yourself with the usual offerings. New stuff is usually in the entrance aisle and then the middle. Food is a bit bulky, unless you have freezer space or an immediate use for part of it. I found that liquor could be cheaper elsewhere. Clothing changes out per seasons, but the “Kirkland” brand is always available. Xmas time there are lots of goodies. Enjoy your mbrshp!
