EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!

Especially the Lego Movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(And no, the overuse of ‘!’ Is not hyperbole)

I seriously loved the movie. The story is awesome. The characters are awesome. The Lego worlds are awesome. The mixing of worlds and figures is awesome! Even Will Ferrell– who normally makes me cringe– was (minorly) awesome.

I even have a new favorite character– Unikitty!!

She totally kicks ass, btw.

If you played with Legos as a kid, this movie will make you nostalgic and make you smile with the memories of how you yourself used to create worlds. And the inventiveness of construction and use of familiar Lego pieces in this movie will boggle your mind.

I absolutely loved seeing the original space Lego red and blue guys, in all their retro (and distressed) glory. They were the ones I played with the most as a kid.

I highly recommend seeing this movie. It is completely NOT a kid’s movie. It’s an adult movie that appeals to kids.

Just don’t go to a matinee on the weekend. Just… Don’t.
