Yeah, I knew that posting my drape idea was gonna get all sorts of pushback. Mainly because even I realized the vision in my head did not match the design execution.
Oh well, c’est la vie, no?
But this is why I “crowd sourced” to get y’all’s ideas and opinions. And then went to Blood Bath and Beyond to get items for a do-over.
Which resulted in this:
Better? I think so. A bit more volume with nicer finishes.
And the rods can be expanded a bit– as can the fabric as there is plenty there (it’s basically doubled up).
Oh- and here’s what the space looks like closed up:
So– what do y’all think now? Better?
Do you intentionally want the light coming in from the “top” part? No pun intended.
Yes, the clerestory windows were intentionally left uncovered.
Part of that decision was forced by the ductwork which would not have allowed the dark panels to slide open to maximize the amount of light and openness.
NICE! the fabric drapes better now. so clever of you!
That’s a nice redo. 🙂
1000% better !
I’ve been wondering – how are things going with your hot neighbor selling you his custom shelving for your closet?
awesome and symetrical, i still think crazy Sari fabric would give you a huge punch of color…
I like it!
I really like the way this looks. Great job!
Much, much, much (…) better. I had some elaborate plan in my head that I was going to diagram and send you, but this looks like the best quick fix. Plus, it looks good.
So…………. are you gonna get the chair or what?
much better!
Very nice…..
