When my father was up visiting, I spotted this little “ob-gay de Art” and decided that I really had to have it. It was quirky, and cool, and a tad macabre, and fits my eclecticism.
So I got it.
But then it became where to hang it? And in the end, there was just one location that worked in my ever-shrinking wall real estate:
Aluminum skull. Resin horns. 100% fun.
But this means that I had to move “Celeste”– which then sort of screwed up my gallery wall a bit.
I’ve done some adjustment since this photo was take , but it still isn’t quite right. And I need a ladder to finish shifting things around.
Thoughts?
hello kitty! I like it as it is, but I’m no interior decorator.
First… love Celeste but… I’m not crazy with how the reflection spoils the view of the rest of the art.
I love where you put the skull/horns – it’s perfect! I agree that you need some tweaking of your art wall. Lay it all out on the floor – it’s so much easier to rearrange when it’s on the floor.
You have some good theming going on with the larger pieces. Specifically, the head/neck shapes. Three of these are brightly colored, but the charcoal rendering is a nice contrast. The smaller pieces detract with the exception of the Mata Hari cigar box. The smaller ones all work well together and I suggest finding a narrow/isolated strip of wall in your house to hang them vertically. Perhaps in series they tell a story.
I don’t know anything about “art”, just what I like. Which is pretty different from what you like, so don’t listen to me.
Love IT!!!!
Rest “Celeste” on the horns. Problem solved.
