That’s our final, best score of the season until The Championships over Labor Day weekend.
94.15.
It also happens to be the current highest score in the country. Yaaaay us!
But, all good things must come to an end, as our arch rival (the Buccaneers) have a show next weekend and that should allow them to jump ahead of us.
Overall, it was a really good weekend. The weather was about perfect and we are cleaning and fixing things in our show as well as adding more “effect” moments. In fact, yours truly now as a “performance moment” where I get pulled out and my uniform stripped from me by two color guard girls.
Saturday’s rehearsal was great. Every segment we worked got better and better and the whole corps is really performing the heck out of the show.
It was very encouraging.
We have a big final “camp” this coming weekend in order to micro-clean and perfect what we can before heading East to Annapolis.
Less than two weeks, folks. And then I’ll shut up about all this drum corps shit.
Nate and I will be attending The Championships in Annapolis on the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, cheering for you and MB. Will the judges be biased in favor of the Bucs again this year?
I think the judges are a little biased toward all east coast corps, as DCA is so East-centric.
But…
I think we have a legitimate shot this year. It will depend on how well we perform, of course, but the pieces are there.
When we are standing in our big company front to start our show, I wanna hear “GO CHRIS!!!!”
I hope you guys were at Finals– and I hope you sorta liked our show. What did you think?? I’m sort of anxious to hear from an audience member perspective.
