Sweet & Poignant

If you haven’t seen this video yet, we’ll then you aren’t up on the latest viral trends.

It’s a sweet, gay country song about unrequited young love by Steve Grand.

Give it a watch:

While I think he’s a bit too aware that he’s attractive, I find the overall emotional connection of the song and video compelling.

And I especially like the bridge, the way the music builds in angst and intensity up to the moment of the kiss…

It’s just good song writing.

I love this song and video. And yes, he’s super hot, and most likely aware of it cuz he was a model. His body is rock solid, and so sexy. There is nothing about him that isn’t yummy……….

I like this vid. Very sweet. And true to life…. sometimes you just have to accept what the relationship is; just friends

  3. Blobby says:

apparently i’m the only one who thinks this song is all shlock. everyone is soooooooo enamoured that there are two guys and almost guy-on-guy action, they overlook the fact that they’d never actually purchase the song if they just heard it on the radio and saw no video of it.

Actually I quite like the song from a musical standpoint — particularly the bridge. And I immediately tried to go buy it on iTunes, but it wasn’t available.

  4. Kip Terhune says:

He has a website you can download the song for a donation. He’s doing everything on his own (even the video). Pretty impressive all around.

I would have to agree with Blobby re the schlockiness factor. But I am not seeing where that “too aware that he’s attractive” stuff is coming from. No, he isn’t hard on the eyes. If he’s ever passed by a mirror he may have noticed, or may have gotten a clue when someone hit on him. However, I don’t see anything in his demeanor, not in this video anyway, that suggests too much awareness.

Wait! He was singing? I was just enjoying the scenery…

Ok, after watching this vid more than a few times, I still don’t see what classifies this song as “country”. Help me out here, cb!

  8. Mark in DE says:

While I’m not much for country music, the video is cute and Steve is quite easy on the eyes. But mostly I just like to support openly gay people in the public eye.

All that drinkin’ and neither had to take a piss? Shoot!
