While out with my father on Sunday, I picked up a few plants to help flesh out my balcony planters.
I learned my lesson that my smaller, cast iron planter doesn’t work for perennials. The winter was just too harsh. So that will be annuals only now.
And I am going to try perennials in one of my big planters, as it should be better insulated– maybe.
Anyway- here are the results:
Purple and white– the middle plant blooms white, and the low plants in front are a purply sweet potato vine thing.
Bowl of mini petunias on my cafe table. I always like to have a bowl of petunias around; every year I imagine it saying “Oh no, not again.”
Burgundy and reddish-pink day lilies, with some sort of pink drapey-viney flower for show.
And my herb planter. This year I have rosemary, 2 kinds of basil, lavender, and thyme.
Of all my balcony things, the herb planter seems to do best. Well, that and the petunias.
