I really hate the Spring time change.
Oh, I don’t hate having extra daylight at the end of the day– that part is cool. But the whole losing an hour?
That sucks dirty vagina.
I wish it didn’t affect me so, but it does. When it’s 10:30pm, my body thinks it’s 9:30 and I can’t fall asleep. I feel tired and cranky for like a week, and everything just feels “off”.
I got up, did my chores, went and worked out, ran a quick errand at Target, then headed home to rest before my band concert. I thought “I’ll set an alarm for 2 pm, in case I doze off while reading and relaxing.”
The alarm went off 10 fucking minutes later.
Evidently I thought it was 12:45 or so– it was really 1:45. Where did I misplace a whole goddamn hour?!?
Oh yeah. Fuck you time change.
I’ve been a step behind all week so far. And this will probably continue into next week, as I’m heading home for a visit and predict a tired Monday.
There’s evidently some online petition to stop this springing and falling of the clock. We should just keep the time like it is now– more summer daylight hours. Make that the norm and fuck winter.
Nobody gives a shit about winter anyway because there’s only like 6 hours of daylight to begin with.
