My gym is a YMCA.
Yes, a majority of the clientele are gay men.
And yes, the Y tends to be a fairly active cruising ground.
And yes, I happen to know
first second third hand that things can happen in the sauna/steam room there.
But just because all this is true does NOT mean you should accessorize like you are the whore of Steamworks!
Two weeks ago, there was a rather “sizeable” man from Amsterdam lounging in the sauna at the Y– wearing a cock ring roughly the size and thickness of a Wonder Woman bracelet.
Then last week a guy ambled past in the locker room and I noticed he was “clinking”… From the chains attached to his PA and disappearing somewhere in his taintal region.
And then there was the guy last night.
The guy was hanging about the sauna and steam room, and he seemed quite proud of his new adornment.
He had what was probably a 2 gauge PA– which would have been perfectly respectable, had it not also been roughly the diameter of a mason jar lid.
It was easily 3 inches in diameter.
And to add to the spectacle, it had a sapphire-colored captive bead the size of a marble shooter.
When he walked around, the whole assembly was slapping back an forth between his thighs. Audibly.
Now there’s this black dude that I chat with (on occasion) in the sauna. He was there, and when PA guy left, our conversation went like this;
cb: tell me you saw that?
Bd: how could I not?
Cb: what is he thinking?
Bd: he’s thinking he wants to show off his new jewelry– now that it’s bigger. It used to be slightly more modest.
Cb: um, jewelry is ok… That was like the Hope Diamond!
Bd: I know, right?
Cb: I’m all for self expression and pee-dazzling, but this is technically a family gym. FAMILY not “family”.
Bd: Yeah, he should at least have like an “everyday” one, and this one could just be for special occasions.
Cb: Like cruising the Y? But dude doesn’t need to bust out the tiara for that!
Seriously, can you think of any good reason to wear a cock ring or enormous PA jewelry/chains/etc to the gym?
I mean, I’m the king of “inappropriate”, but even I find this behavior a bit… distasteful.
