iPhone fIve

Yeah… Imma get it.

I’m not sure when, but I definitely want one. I mean, I skipped upgrading to the 4S just for this very opportunity.

Is it everything I wanted in a phone? Not really. Plus I was really hoping for a mind-blowing, radical design change.

But it’s way cooler than my 4.

Now, I know there are lots of naysayers out there who poo-poo this latest iteration. It doesn’t have the screen size or as many features at a Galaxy S III. Yadda yadda yadda.

But what the iPhone had that the Samsung doesn’t is elegance in design and a pleasing aesthetic.

And intuitive use.

And build quality.

I like these features in my electronic products.

Plus, I feel like I will be the new New NEW hipster by owning one.

You see, the first iPhones were popular with the artsy, alterna-crowd as a way of getting away from blackberrys.

An then it became hip and ironic NOT to have Apple products, and to go with the android phones. Because Apple became too “establishment”.

Well, now it’s time to become even MORE ironically hip by embracing the new iPhone. Right?

Anyway– I haven’t ordered one. I may try to pick one up at an AT&T store or Apple store on Friday.

But if I have to wait a couple weeks, no big whoop.

Cuz I’m hip like that.
