Well, it’s that time again.
Time for the DCA Championships. They are this coming weekend (I fly out on Thursday). And Minnesota Brass is ready.
We may not win– but we are gonna give ’em one helluva show. Seriously, this year’s show is just…
In the past week the corps has matured and grown and achieved nuance and power and emotion and the show has taken on life and fire and heart and I honestly cannot wait to perform it out east.
I’ve never been this excited about any drum corps show. Ever. Not even last year when we won.
On Saturday evening we had a good 2 hour rehearsal at the U of M stadium. And at the end we got in full dress and did a final Minnesota performance run.
A good crowd was on hand, and even after a full day of camp and rehearsal, we smashed it.
We may be going on in 3rd in Prelims because of the way seeding works, but I don’t think it’s gonna matter.
Our show has basically become an 11 minute, in your face, triple dog dare you to knock us down event.
The judges and the crowd aren’t going to know what hit ’em.
