Wiggle (x5) Yeah!

Okay, I hope everyone understands that during my last post, my tongue was firmly planted in cheek.

(I really must look up the etymology of that phrase when I’m done here.)

I mean, while I know no one can resist a man in uniform, I didn’t really mean that uniform.

But, because there are precious few pics of me in my getup, I decided to post it. Plus I liked the badass aura effect produced by the backlighting.

As you can probably guess, there was more drum corpsing about this past weekend. And more to come this week.

This is probably the biggest week of our season (other than finals). There is a HUGE drum corps show at the University of Minnesota’s stadium this Saturday, and we’re in it.

Biggest drum corps competition of the summer basically (except again, for finals).

And we, as a host corps and DCA defending champs get the honor of performing last.

It will be the biggest, loudest, most knowledgable crowd we have all summer. Period. And it’s our home town.

So you can imagine we will be prepping like mad and hyped beyond belief.

After all, we have to look good for all I the illegal pirated video that will be taken.

P.S….

That’s me in our company front out in Bridgeport. We had holes– one on either side of me.

Do you know how hard it is to back up blindly into a company front, while playing, with absolutely no bodies on either side of you for visual reference??

The holes on either side of you.. Is that a goof, or did you eat a lot of beans on the bus?

Not a goof– the holes represent people that couldn’t make the trip. It just so happens that I was surrounded.
