So- I was a bit foolish with my money this past weekend and I bought a new bike.

I may call him “Trekkie Monster”.

After spending so much on getting my eyes zapped, I really don’t need to be having Monty Butns “money fights”. But I really wanted a new bike, dammit.

But my old mountain bike is 22 years old, steel framed, and nearly impossible to get components for.

And this bike has front suspension, disc brakes, and 29″ wheels! And 27 gears!

And it’s pretty!

I took Monster on a 2.5 hour break in bike ride on Saturday. It was awesome!

And on the ride, I photographed some of my favorite homes;

Just for the roof.

I love this design– it overlooks Lake of the Isles. Can’t wait to see it finished!

Modern on the hill above the lake.

Prairie School design at its finest– and most mammoth. (Cedar Lake)

My absolute favorite home of the lot. I love the shoebox design, the windows and the glass skylight on top!
