Yes, I realize that the granite might not have been my first choice, but it was here when I bought the place and it’s in great shape.
Also, when seen in context of my entire space, with the black and stainless appliances, maple hardwood floors, exposed brick walls and light cabinetry:
Well, I don’t think the granite looks butt ass ugly at all, Bill.
I would KILL for your kitchen. you wanna see ugly – try wood paneled walls in a 1950s kitchen! cause that’s what I have and I HATE IT! but I’m too broke to remodel. 😦
The granite looks fine to me. And I love those bar stools. But… is there a trick of the light, or is your floor really almost the same color as the cabinetry?
Looks good to me.
Is it my cataracts or is everything ‘brick road yellow’…?
The lighting doesn’t do your kitchen pic justice. I think the granite looks alright. Replacing your granite would be expensive – staining the cabinets a warmer color would not.
I really like the granite; I just wasn’t convinced the backsplash related to it enough. Maybe

I really love your kitchen, as I love your whole loft.
