Kyle and I traded Xmas presents last night before hitting MI:IV. Which is a good thrill-romp, bee-tee-dubs.
Anyway, here is one of the presents Kyle gave me:
Yes, it’s a first edition Architecture Series Lego set of the Guggenheim!
Only like one of my favorite buildings in the world designed by one of my favorite architects!
You can’t just get this in any Target toy aisle, oh no. This isn’t like those craptacular Lucas products– this shit for REAL!
I woke up this morning and it was beckoning to me. “Erect me… Erect me…”
So I did.
Here is the finished product:
True to Lego form, construction was easy and product quality was outstanding (no missing pieces, no plastic flashing, everything fit).
And so cleverly done! Only a couple specialty Legos were needed– the rest were pre-existing block types.
Cool!
But what’s this? Oh no! Ginormicat takes Manhattan! Please spare the Guggenheim!
Ooooh la la…..Christmas came early! Merry Merry!
But what can you make with it besides the Guggenheim? BTW, are you familiar with the Lego software?
@ Tony – since they included the Gwatheny-Siegel addition, he can make a toilet.
And what did you give Kyle…?
oooooh, giganto phoebecat!
let’s see, it says “ages 10+”…do you qualify? srsly, it’s beautiful!
I fondly remember our trip to the Guggenheim when we were in NYC for the blogger thingy 4 years ago!.
You can get them at Barnes & Noble. I got 710 Falling Water last year. But you can get them at most museum shoppes too.
Warms my heart to see that you turned into a cat person.
Merry Christmas.
JB
Such a pretty kitteh.
Good for you. I like your enthusiasm. I like the pussy pic as well. Which is totally not me.
Merry Christmas to you CB!
I’m still impressed. I agree w/ Rick/CJ. I like the picture with the kitty cat.
