After four trips to the Homo Depot, I *finally* have some semblance of urban landscaping on my balcony.
Why four trips? Because some things didn’t work as intended, some pots were exactly the wrong color, and I grossly underestimated the amount of dirt needed.
The picture shows the first planter completed. As you can see, there was still a long, windowbox planter next to the urn.
My original idea was to have these metal planter box frames suspended from my balcony railing which would contain the plastic planters.
Yeah– that didn’t work.
My balcony railing is such that it wouldn’t support the boxes with the dirt, plants, etc. So those had to be returned.
And then I had to decide upon the style and color for the larger, urn planters. Which then made the original tomato pot just wrong.
Sometimes it sucks to be gay.
However, with my gayness I did manage to find a very reasonably priced cafe table at Homegoods to complete my balcony ensemble.
The table was precisely what I had envisioned– colors and all! And it worked well with the pre-existent chairs.
So- on my balcony I now have a planter of flowers, a planter of herbs, a pot with two tomato plants, and a cafe table an chairs.
Now, if I could just find a date for that other chair…
looks very inviting! how about the neighbor next door to fill the other chair?
I love the table…
Love to get him ON the table – LOL! Wish I lived closer to join you and fill that seat!! (in more than 1 way)!!
Looks good. I guess sitting out nude is a no no. Be good and keep them watered.
Looks great! I heart HomeGoods.
