Solo?

Looks like a “no go”.

Remember awhile back I auditioned for the solo in our Drum Corps show’s ballad (Imagine by Lennon)? Well, they still have never officially said who was selected.

However, they just posted the drill for the ballad, and my drill number is marching all over creation, mixed in with the forms.

Meaning I’m not standing out front by myself at all.

Which I take as a subtle way of telling me “thanks, but no thanks.”

Nice.

I can’t lie; it’s a tad bit disappointing. However, given the the uber-challenging marching so far, it’s also a bit of a relief.

Hell, I’m going to be so winded by the ballad that I’m not sure I’m going to be able to even play a note!

So now I don’t have to worry about anything now but learning my dots and playing ensemble music.
