I met up with Miles and picked up my artwork after work this evening.
It was exactly what I hoped it would be! (The small figure vignettes are in poses from Dante’s Inferno).
From a distance, the colors are all happy and the scene is comforting. Ice cream- yaaaay!!!
And then up close you see the depravity and sexuality and violence and decay.
So twisted! I can’t wait to get it on my wall.

Art in my house is like a tattoo for me. I’d have to want to look at it every single day – which is why I guess I don’t have any ink.
I don’t know why, but all I can think of when I see that painting is colonoscopy. I know – I’m weird.
That is amazing, its seductive and repulsive at the same time – I love it. You must be over the moon with the results.
