I’m a new year resolutions kind of guy. I do them every year.
I’m very formal about them, making them measureable goals with timeframes, etc. I even type them up, print them out, and tack them to my fridge.
As far as last years goals are concerned, I did ok. My weight fluctuated too much to be a success, and I didn’t complete my composition like I was hoping to. But I did quite well on most of the others.
Here is a smattering of my resolutions for 2009:
1) achieve 205# by March 1st
2) get doctor set up by January 31st
3) start higher yield savings account by mid January.
4) find a dentist by April 1st
5) replace car windshield by may 1st
6) finish “4 Horsemen” by august 26th
7) complete novel rough draft by December 1st
8) visit Paris/Europe before 40th birthday
9) acquire a boyfriend by December 31st
Most of these I think are doable- except #9. But you should always have a “stretch goal”, right?
Look into ING for the savings account. Good Luck!
I agree with Dustin, ING is simple! Who knew I could save like that???
#9 may be a stretch, why don’t you try a girlfriend?
What happened to karaoke boy? Did he fall to the wayside?
Agree with above ING is awesome and easy.
As far as #9, it’s on a few lists, I would imagine. But it’s all YOU. You are adorable, hot, smart and funny. You just need to be available (whatever that means) and have some luck. And the guy that finds you will be lucky too.
ING is nice but their rates aren’t that competitive. Go to Dollar Direct and get 4% on a plain old savings account. https://www.dollarsavingsdirect.com
If you have to stretch for #9, you should make him your boyfriend. Just sayin!
I’ve always been of the believe that resolutions are for amateurs. Yours are laudable goals though.
Taking charge of your life isn’t a bad thing.
Now, just get those laminated so it’s official!
Happy New Year buddy. Best wishes for 2009!
“Make it so!” Happy New Year, and don’t sweat #9–you’re a catch!
Happy New Year, CB! Great big naked hugs from Orlando!! Good luck with the goals!
(and love the new header!)
These are great goals! Like you, I make New Year’s resolutions that are measurable. And don’t give up hope on #9. Never give up hope!
Um, we’ve sen the pics and the video of you dancing to “Single Ladies” so we all know that #9 shouldn’t be a problem at all.
Big hugs and best wishes for a healthy and happy 2009!
Wow lots to do. Hope you accomplish it all and more in ’09. Happy New Year darling.
I volunteer for # 9!!! Happy New Year! — all the best to you!
Yay! I like being a goal! See in you Paree x
